Highly regarded Oklahoma civil law book marks 25th anniversary

OKLAHOMA CITY – The “Oklahoma Civil Procedure Forms and Practice,” a two-volume treatise authored by Crowe & Dunlevy attorneys Clyde A. Muchmore and Harvey D. Ellis, is reaching a major publishing milestone. The book was originally published in 1987, and an updated 2012 edition will soon go to press, marking 25 years in publication.

The book includes discussion of Oklahoma civil procedure and numerous forms for use in state and federal civil (including appellate) litigation practice. The publication also provides sample documents lawyers can easily customize for specific cases. The authors have noted practice considerations to help civil litigators place the sample forms in an easy-to-understand format. Also included are federal practice notes and a detailed topical index.

Ellis and Muchmore also co-authored “Oklahoma Appellate Practice,” a comprehensive treatise on all aspects of appellate procedure in Oklahoma state and federal courts, consisting of two volumes, with a supplemental pamphlet containing detailed timetables for each kind of appeal.
