Tommie served as law clerk to the Honorable James L. Robertson, Justice, Mississippi Supreme Court from 1986-1987.

Professional Experience

Tommie Cardin is a member of the General Litigation group at Butler Snow. He concentrates his practice in the areas of civil rights defense and governmental liability defense. As part of this practice, Tommie serves as counsel for the Mississippi State Board of Contractors and the Mississippi Sheriffs’ Association.

Professional Organizations & Associations:

As a member of The Mississippi Bar, Tommie serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Government Law Section, and also serves on the Public Information Committee and the Alternative Dispute Resolution Committee. Tommie is a member of the Tort and Insurance Practice Section and the Litigation Section of American Bar Association and is a member of the Hinds County Bar Association. Tommie is also a member of the Defense Research Institute, Mississippi Defense Lawyers’ Association, and the Fifth Circuit Bar Association.

Community Activities:

Tommie is a graduate of Leadership Clinton and a member of the Clinton Chamber of Commerce. He is also an active member of Galloway Memorial United Methodist Church in Jackson, Mississippi.
