Professional Experience

James Dimos’ practice involves addressing the litigation needs of the business community in the areas of intellectual property, business, and construction disputes. He also assists clients in their dealings with state and local governments.

He has represented businesses in the areas of antitrust, contract, copyright, employment agreement, licensing, non-compete, patent, product disparagement, shareholder, trademark, trade secret, unfair competition and vendor disputes. He has also handled complex construction related litigation regarding mass disasters, bid protests, faulty construction, mechanic’s liens, design errors, and delay damages.

Mr. Dimos is currently President of the Indianapolis Bar Association and has served on its Board of Managers since 1994. He is also a member of the Indiana and American Bar Associations. He serves as Indiana’s State Delegate to the American Bar Association’s House of Delegates as well as a member of its Nominating Committee. He chaired the Litigation Section of the Indiana State Bar Association in 2000 and, in 1997, he served as Chair of an Indiana State Bar Task Force on the re-codification of Title 34 of the Indiana Code. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Wabash Men, Indiana Legal Services, Inc., and The International Violin Competition of Indianapolis.

He has received an “AV” rating in Martindale-Hubbell. He is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Leadership Series and in 1998, Mr. Dimos was recognized by the Indianapolis Business Journal in its “40 Under 40” Forty Professionals who have made an impact on Indianapolis prior to their fortieth birthday.
