Professional Experience

Kevin D. Gordon, born 1958 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, is a shareholder/director of Crowe & Dunlevy, P.C. Mr. Gordon practices in the areas of insurance coverage and bad faith litigation, managed care law, medical staff issues, and commercial litigation. He is admitted to practice in all Oklahoma state and federal courts, the Tenth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of the United States. Mr. Gordon joined the firm in 1984 after graduating from Washington University School of Law in St. Louis where he was a member of Order of the Coif, an editor of the Washington University Law Quarterly (two published articles), and the Moot Court Golden Gavel recipient. He received his undergraduate degree with honors from Westminster College in 1981, where he was a member of several academic fraternities. Mr. Gordon is an active member of several health care and insurance committees of the American Bar Association and the American Health Lawyers Association. He serves on the Oklahoma Bar Association’s Uniform Laws and Mentorship Committees and coordinates two annual insurance law seminars co-sponsored by the Oklahoma Insurance Department and the Bar Association.

In 1995, Mr. Gordon served as one of two attorney representatives to the Oklahoma State Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision’s committee that rewrote the Medical Practices Act. In 1996, he contributed the chapter on Medical Records Discovery to Muchmore and Ellis’s book, Oklahoma Civil Procedure. Since 1997, Mr. Gordon has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Oklahoma where he teaches an upper level course in Managed Care Law. He also lectures nationally on health law topics. In 1998, Mr. Gordon received the award as the outstanding master of the Ruth Bader Ginsburg American Inn of Court, where he is a founding member and chairs the Membership/Nominating Committee. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Law (Health Law and Insurance Law).

Since 1986, Mr. Gordon has served on the Board of Directors of Youth Services of Oklahoma County (including a term as president) and as chair of the advisory committee to the Oklahoma Association of Youth Service organizations.
