Professional Experience

Mr. Quackenbush’s areas of practice include Governmental Relations, Environmental Law and Administrative Law. He concentrates his practice on governmental relations and environmental law. He authored “Changes in Environmental Law”’ in the 1973 South Carolina Water Resources Commission Annual Report.

Mr. Quackenbush has served as an adjunct assistant professor and lecturer of Environmental Law and Business Law at the University of South Carolina Law School. He served as an Assistant South Carolina Attorney General from 1970-1972. He was Vice-President of Smith Barney, Harris Upham Co., Inc. from 1986-1990 in their Washington, D.C. offices and Wall Street offices. Mr. Quackenbush has served as a trustee on the Richland Memorial Hospital Board of Trustees and was Chairman from 1980-1982. He served six years as the Commissioner of the South Carolina Wildlife and Marine Resources Department and was the Deputy National Campaign Manager of the Mondale for President Campaign from 1982-1984. Mr. Quackenbush served as the Chairman of the Election Committee for Dick Riley’s campaign for Governor in 1982.

Mr. Quackenbush was honored by Governor Richard Riley in 1987 with the Order of the Palmetto.

Mr. Quackenbush is a member of both the Richland County and South Carolina Bars.
